Binky was born from our desire to buy toys and gifts which are consciously sourced.

Toys and gifts should look great and play well, be made to last and where possible be plastic free and manufactured in a way that is conscious of our environment.

We only work with manufacturers who have ethical working practices and manufacture consciously. This means making positive change to care for our environment through both material choices, working processes and caring for the wellbeing of their teams. We also like to work with companies who give back to their communities or environmental projects.

We aim to be plastic free where possible, fundamentally plastic is a fabulous product for children’s toys, because it is durable and light. With this in mind, we chose to stock toys with plastic, but the plastic must work to be there, be the best material choice for that product, plus not throw away.

We are aware there are items in our range which are not plastic free, for instance plush, we are working to find alternative recycled or plastic free products, which are both desirable and child friendly. This is an area where our expectation is that a well made toy will be loved and cherished for years.

As we build our range, we will work tirelessly to ensure that our buying, packaging & shipping choices are conscious of the environment, that ethical standards are upheld, and play is ensured. So, you can be confident and happy that gifts from Binky support both our environment and the wellbeing of our communities for the future.
